We started business in 1981 trading as Alan Jefferies & Co. Ltd. In 1982 Alan's first apprentice was Rob Gibbs. By 1990 Rob had taken over the reins, and has owned the company since then. The name 'AJ Auto electric Centre' came along as Alan was no longer part of the business and most people knew us as "AJ's" anyway. With Rob, are two full time staff, Hamish and Kevin, who are both fully qualified.

We specialise in the electrics of the motor vehicle and keep up to date with current models doing work for all the local dealerships. We are very handy to the Lower Hutt CBD, and as we are on High St. transport to all parts of the Hutt Valley is easy. Melling station and the motorway are 300 metres away so access to Wellington city is straightforward.
